Privacy Policy
- The app has no accounts or sign-in, and we do not ask for your name, email, phone number or contacts.
- The kurals and their meanings are stored inside the app, so reading works without the internet.
- The app shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers and usage data to show and measure those ads, as described below.
- We, Vasithwam Software Co., do not run any server for this app and do not receive or sell your personal data.
1. Information the app handles on your device
These stay on your phone and are never sent to us:
- Share preferences – which parts of a kural you last chose to share (for example Tamil kural, English meaning) and whether you chose text or image.
- Shared images – when you share a kural as an image, the app creates the picture in its private cache folder so the app you pick can read it. Android may clear this cache at any time, and it is removed when you uninstall the app.
- Search text – what you type in the search box is only used to filter the kurals on your phone. It is not saved or sent anywhere.
2. Read-aloud (text-to-speech)
When you tap a speaker button, the text of that kural or meaning is passed to the text-to-speech engine installed on your phone (for example Speech Services by Google). Depending on the engine and whether the Tamil or English voice is downloaded, the engine may process the text online. That processing is done by the engine's provider under its own privacy policy. The text read aloud is public literature and contains no personal information.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app is free and is supported by banner and full-screen ads served by Google AdMob, which is part of Google LLC. To show ads, limit how often you see them, measure them and prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the app may collect:

On newer Android versions the ads SDK may also use Android's Privacy Sandbox ad services, which keep ad-related signals on your device.
4. Your choices
- Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland): if you are in these regions, the app asks for your consent through Google's consent form before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice any time from the menu: Privacy settings.
- Advertising ID: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact path depends on your phone).
- Uninstall: uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on your phone.
5. Permissions

The app does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, files or precise location.
6. Sharing
The app shares a kural only when you tap Share, and only with the app you choose from Android's share screen. We do not sell personal data or share it with anyone else.
7. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the ads in this app, contact us and we will help you reach Google to have it removed.
8. Security and retention
Data sent by the ads SDK is encrypted in transit. We keep no data ourselves; data collected by Google is kept according to Google's policies.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
