Doc Filler helps you scan, fill and organise forms. It is designed so that your personal information stays on your phone.
Doc Filler stores the information you enter yourself, on your device only. This includes names, dates of birth, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, government ID numbers (PAN, Aadhaar, passport and others), bank details, employment and insurance details, signatures, photos, and the documents and forms you scan or import.
Text recognition (OCR) and form understanding run on your device with Google ML Kit. The recognition models are delivered by Google Play services. Your documents are not uploaded for recognition.
Doc Filler asks for Google authorization only if you choose Drive backup or restore. The backup is encrypted with a password you choose (PBKDF2 key derivation, AES-256 with HMAC-SHA256) before it is uploaded. It is stored in the hidden app-data folder of your own Google Drive. Doc Filler requests only the drive.appdata scope, so it cannot see your other Drive files. Without your password the backup cannot be read, including by us.
Doc Filler is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising ID, your approximate location (from your IP address) and information about how you interact with ads, to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), we ask for your consent through Google's consent message. You can change your ad choices at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices, and you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Ads are never shown next to your vault or personal data. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Files leave the app only when you share, print, save or export them, and only to the app or printer you choose.
Your data stays on your device until you delete it. Use Settings → Delete all data to erase everything, or uninstall the app. Android's automatic cloud backup is disabled for Doc Filler, so no copy is made without your action.
Doc Filler is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Doc Filler is an assistant. It is not an official authority and is not affiliated with any government department, bank or insurer. You are responsible for checking every form before you submit it.
